Ages 12+ | 11:15 - Noon | be ready to show pointe work from 12:00 - 12:15 pm
Pre-registration required for auditions
*Choreography Days | Saturdays - August 15th , 22nd , 30th (Sunday) , September 12th , 19th , 26th , October 3rd , 10th.
*Dancers en pointe, please bring your pointe shoes. Dancers will begin on flat.
*Production day at Oakdale Park (Eric Stein Stage) | October TBA - no ticket fee to watch and enjoy!
*No audition fee
*Production & Costume rental fee | (Ages 7 - 11: $175) & (Ages 12+: $225 )
(Note: Please let us know if you would like to participate but are in need tuition assistance)
*Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet technique class at their home studio for the 2020-2021 season.
*Dancers are required to wear masks in lobbies and general spaces.
*Dancers may remove masks during class if a 6 foot distance can be maintained.
*Dancers must wear masks when working on choreography where a 6 foot distance cannot be maintained.
*Dancers will not need to wear masks during performance.
*Audience members during performance will be socially distanced per family units.
*We will video tape our performance to give a download copy to families.
*This ballet runs about 40 minutes in length.
Elite Syncopations History:
The piece was premiered by The Royal Ballet on 7 October 1974 at the Royal Opera House. The ballet is described as having an up-beat, hip swinging aura of spontaneity, with 'easygoing rhythms'. It has a 1920's party-like atmosphere. The 'Classic' ragtime composers represented in the production are: Scott Joplin, Scott Hayden, Joseph F. Lamb and James Scott and Robert Hampton.
